Will this void my warranty?
Absolutely not. Our tuning chip will not void any warranties. If you have a very strict underwriter on your warranty you can simply unplug the unit before taking your vehicle in for service with no traces and install it later.
Will this work with aftermarket performance upgrades?
Yes, It will work with all aftermarket upgrades as well as factory upgrades.
Will I get any errors on my dash board after installing this tuning chip?
Our tuning chip will not cause any dashboard errors or warnings.
Do I need any special skills or tools?
No special skills are required. Just plug into your OBD2 port and follow simple instructions included.
Will this module fit my 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl?
The Thorton Performance Chip will fit all engine sizes and types for your make of vehicle. Be sure to select the correct Make, model and engine of your vehicle when purchasing.
I have a 2007 Dodge Dakota with a standard V8 4.7 engine and installed the level 2 chip hoping for improved mileage and performance. I was pleasantly suprised at the improvement in performance ~ in particular, the level 2 chip gets rid of the low and mid range lag that is characteristic of the stock setup.
I also experienced a small improvement in gas mileage ~ from 13.5 to 14.2 ~ nothing amazing obviously, but an obviously positive outcome.
After a positive experience with the level 2 chip i decided to try the level 3 chip as well. The level 3 creates a higher level and more responsive performance throughout the bottom half of the RPM range and turns the truck into a totally nice sport truck driving experience. Yay, a nice job of engineering.
From a mileage perspective, the level 3 chip did not create any additional improvement over the level 2 chip ~ 14.2 MPG was the outcome.
this chip has my 2010 dodge avenger running smoother than ever and i plan on ordering snother when i engine swap highly recommend
I was skeptical at first but after a short road trip my fuel mileage went from 12.2mpg to 20.9mpg and the throttle response in my 6 speed manual in 5th gear is crazy. Good job guys cause my 5.7 Hemi is a beast now 😈
I purchased the stage 3 chip for my 2019 dodge ram 1500 hemi love it wake the beast in her your product it as advertised shifts are harder throttle response is excellent only have 25000 miles Ty
adding it to my promaster city van installed one in my ford transit and getting 6 miles to gallon better so bought another one. great product that works period.!!!
