Will this void my warranty?
Absolutely not. Our tuning chip will not void any warranties. If you have a very strict underwriter on your warranty you can simply unplug the unit before taking your vehicle in for service with no traces and install it later.
Will this work with aftermarket performance upgrades?
Yes, It will work with all aftermarket upgrades as well as factory upgrades.
Will I get any errors on my dash board after installing this tuning chip?
Our tuning chip will not cause any dashboard errors or warnings.
Do I need any special skills or tools?
No special skills are required. Just plug into your OBD2 port and follow simple instructions included.
Will this module fit my 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl?
The Thorton Performance Chip will fit all engine sizes and types for your make of vehicle. Be sure to select the correct Make, model and engine of your vehicle when purchasing.
All right you guys here’s the facts. I was kind of skeptical buying this plug-in Powerhouse as you guys literally call it. Anyhow bought it the third stage chip, plugged it in went for a ride was very very disappointed. I actually believe it’s slowed my car down. Now I’m not one of these guys that reads directions, never have been. drove about 50 miles from Lake Arrowhead, California to San Bernardino, California. kind of upset about the whole thing not working as I thought it would. Had myself a beer to calm myself down, got in my car and holy mackerel. The performance of the car a SL500 Mercedes went from sluggish to a vehicle that felt like it had a turbocharger in it. This is one of the first times in my life I bought a product that claimed to do something not quite believable and actually delivered. I cannot believe the difference in my vehicle’s performance. I believe the car even runs smoother. So it didn’t take hundreds of miles for me to have the chip communicate with my car. First 50 miles and I’m thoroughly impressed. Who knows what the next couple hundred miles of driving. You guys are five star, really really really impressed. Michael Kemsky

Got it for my 2020 s560 and I can say that it was a major increase in power they boost 462 stock stage 3 500+ and surely can tell the throttle response time much better not hesitation from a stand still, even in. 7th gear you hit the pedal and she gets in there! Wish there’s a stsge 4 that gives 100+ ho that you make it 600, ho family car with guts!!! Yeah! I’m happy. So, let us know when the stage 4 comes out plug and play!!!!
Thorton tuning ships are amazing, but what is more amazing is the service. I bought chips for three different cars and had to unplug one, but couldn’t remember the sequence needed to plug it back in and get it connected. I sent an email after 6 PM on a Saturday evening and within minutes got a reply with the instructions on how to reinstall the chip. You simply do not find this type of customer service so I am proud to give them a five star review. I will never go anywhere else for a Tunning-Chip.
I have a 2008 Mercedes-Benz C 300.
I bought the stage three chip installed it about a week ago I love it so far i haven’t driven enough miles to check the mileage out but there’s definitely an improvement in performance… you get five stars for me!
