Will this void my warranty?
Absolutely not. Our tuning chip will not void any warranties. If you have a very strict underwriter on your warranty you can simply unplug the unit before taking your vehicle in for service with no traces and install it later.
Will this work with aftermarket performance upgrades?
Yes, It will work with all aftermarket upgrades as well as factory upgrades.
Will I get any errors on my dash board after installing this tuning chip?
Our tuning chip will not cause any dashboard errors or warnings.
Do I need any special skills or tools?
No special skills are required. Just plug into your OBD2 port and follow simple instructions included.
Will this module fit my 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl?
The Thorton Performance Chip will fit all engine sizes and types for your make of vehicle. Be sure to select the correct Make, model and engine of your vehicle when purchasing.
Yes this chip is the first chip out of 3 that I have bought for my other vehicles from other companies that actually did what it’s said! I have a 2023 Jeep gladiator Mojave and it’s lifted and I run 35s with aftermarket wheels. My fuel mileage was between 14 and 15 mpg on both highways and local driving! It was constantly shifting and felt underwhelming on trips. I had my doubts about this chip, but when I seen that I could return it if not satisfied I bought one! It came quickly and just in time for a 400 mile trip and as soon as I plugged it in and drove it, I could feel the power difference and oh what a difference!
My mpg when’s up to 19.5 from 14 to 15 mpg! Thanks guys! My first trip and I already saved 15$ from the fuel fill ups! This trip took me through the mountains and worked the Jeep and I got 19.5 when I checked in my driveway at the end of my trip! Thornton you are the best and I’m going to buy one for my corvette next!

This is my second review. Stage three chip with resonator behind cats removed. Dyno stock unit from factory with 423hp. 5.7L engine. Ran 0 to 60mph recently 4.33sec. This vehicle is a grand cherokee trailhawk. Ran against challenger with a 392L. Standing start to 60mph. Ahead at finish by two length of the car. Did not run in the sport mode. The stage 3 chip is all they claim.
I have a 2016 Wrangler JK (4 door) [manual trains] that I use for fire service transportation and Off Road use, it’s modified {much increased drag} and “heavy” with aprox 250 lbs of recovery gear, Fire gear, extinguisher and 80lbs of water in containers. IT’s a JEEP – so it has the aerodynamics of a Tall Dumpster & the fuel MPG is really dumpster low. Into the wind 13.2 ranging to — BEST normal 15.4 mpg.
After installing the stage 3 device, I’m now getting 17.1 mpg on the low end WINDY side – to 18.2 on the “no-wind” cruise, (I haven’t seen 18mpg since I drove it off the dealer lot and totally empty ! ) AND much better acceleration. It feels like an empty / light vehicle from a standing start.
I am totally happy with the performance of this device and the improvement it has brought. Very happy with my purchase !!!
